Wow! People actually want to hear about this adventure! Hi again!

Thanks for your feedback and constructive criticism. Yes, I am prone to typos! So when I put a post on Facebook stating that I was "creating a Boomer's bog" I was inundated with your cry-laughing emojis. Hmmm yes .... The visual image is disturbing!

And the "wedding" I wouldn't miss, was actually the weeding that I wouldn't miss!

Well spotted everyone - I appreciate your help!

I have corrected the typos and my Boomers Bog has become my Boomers Blog.

It was suggested by my more experienced blogger readers, that the end of my first blog should actually be the start of my second .... What do I know? I'm just winging it! But happy to take any advice. So deleted from first and inserted here! If you've read it before, call it a recap .... or just fast forward.

How's the Lifestyle plan going?

A word of advice ..... For peace of mind, it is a good idea to know where your Tiny Home will be parked before you build it. It can be stressful looking for land once it is built and often people find they have to put their house into storage while they search.

Wouldn't it be so cool to live somewhere like this ..... The Mount Hood Tiny House Village in Oregon.

but even cooler to be able to live on a lifestyle block with people you love and have fun with. That is our ultimate goal. Noel and Andrew can have curry cook-offs .... Lara and I will start painting again. Maybe some exhibitions like in the old days before life got so busy! It will be awesome!

The final hurdle...

Andrew and Lara have to sell their house so they can buy the lifestyle block. It should be easier to sell than ours, so let's do this!

The latest

They have decided to market the house themselves. It’s a beautiful Boomer style house.

Today is their first open home. It’s also the weekend that they were booked into a scuba diving holiday. So .... “No worries!! I’ll do it for you!” I volunteer.

About the “No worries!” Yeah... well... Not going so great! I’ve set the alarm off 5 times.

Neighbours are getting irritated, and I am dying to pee! Nerves do that to me! I’ve given up getting into the house so.....Do I ask a neighbour if I can use the toilet? I think not, I’m out of favour there! 5 minutes until the people flock in for the open home! Bugger! I Have to go!

The back garden will have to do! I pick up a garden chair on the way back and am now sitting at the locked front door, preparing for hordes of people.

I’ll just have to admit to being an idiot and give them a slightly unusual “walk around the outside and peep through the window”, guided tour of the house we are all so desperate to sell.

The minutes tick by. After what seems like ages, they become half an hour. What should I do to while away the time? I know! I’ll start that blog!... and here we are.

No one came to the open home, but on the bright side, I didn’t have to confess to being an idiot and...wow! Boomer starts a blog! Just need to learn how to convert a doc into a blog.... hmm? Technosaurus at work here!

But it’s time to go home now! Tomorrow’s another day... and we have another open home! Once Lara and Andrew emerge from the depths of their Scuba dive, I will solve the alarm problem and hopefully run a successful Sunday open home.

Today is the day that cyclone Dovi arrived in Auckland. Looks lovely on the map, almost an artwork, but this wind is SCARY!! Not the best day for an open home. Oh well, we have two weeks before our lifestyle block falls through! We CAN still do this!

1. Omicron rates are going up..... 12 000 today

2. Property viewings are going down.... 0 this week

3. Interest rates are going up.

4. Property prices are going down.

5. My panic mode is going up.

6. Our morale is going down!

Not looking so good at the moment. But we will stay positive! Last open home this weekend before our deal on the lifestyle falls though..... UNLESS the owners let us extend the offer. CROSS FINGERS!
